(Lake Success, NY) IPRO, one of the nation’s leading quality improvement and evaluation organizations, has created a Limited Liability Company (LLC) that will assume all of IPRO’s compliance audit oversight and consulting contracts with managed care organizations (MCOs). The new entity, Logiqual (http://www.logiqual.com), is now officially incorporated in New York State.
IPRO has functioned as a Health Plan Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS)® compliance audit organization since 1997. HEDIS® audit organizations are licensed by the Washington DC-based National Committee for Quality Assurance. HEDIS® audits include validation of plans’ performance measure calculations, medical record review processes, statistical computations and sampling methodologies. IPRO has conducted approximately 1,000 HEDIS® compliance audits in thirty states, using NCQA-certified auditor employees and subcontractors.
“With a team of experienced, certified auditors, we expect the change-over to be seamless to MCO customers,” said Virginia Hill, R.N., M.P.A., IPRO’s Vice President for Managed Care. She noted that the new entity’s CEO, Anu Sajja, M.P.H., has a five-year history as an NCQA-certified HEDIS® Compliance Auditor and Senior Director in IPRO’s Managed Care Department. Sajja has a Masters of Public Health degree with specialty areas of epidemiology and quantitative methods from the University of Medicine and Dentistry at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Administration from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
